Genjo Koan: A Fish Swims in the Ocean

In this final talk on the Genjo Koan, Seido describes the alternative attitude towards our life that Dogen points to in this piece of writing. Rather than getting tossed about by the 8 worldly winds involving success and failure and gain and loss, Dogen uses the example of fish and birds to show us how to fully inhabit our life and rely upon what is always present and intimate but we cannot see.
